About Us
Why Hippo?
In the modern world, each of us walks through the greatest information downpour in history without an umbrella. Every day, thousands of pieces of data — links, photos, voice recordings, and "I must not lose this" notes hit our minds and pass by. So, which ones do we truly remember among this massive pile of data?
The answer to this question actually lies deep in our brains, right at the level of our temples.
From Science
In our brain, there is a small region called "hippos" (horse) and "kampos" (sea monster) — named after the Greek words because its shape resembles a seahorse: Hippocampus.
This region is the powerhouse of our biological memory. Every new piece of information we learn first passes through here. The hippocampus is the critical mechanism that decides which information gets transferred to permanent memory and which gets forgotten.
The name Hippo was born right from here. We wanted to build a "Digital Hippocampus" that makes the chaos of the digital world meaningful for your brain.

Our Reason for Being
The human brain did not evolve to store information, but to process information and generate new ideas. Yet today, we exhaust our brains with hundreds of micro-data like "bill due dates", "meeting notes", or "friend recommendations" that we must not forget.
Our biological hippocampus is now giving an overload warning under this digital noise.
This is exactly where Hippo steps in as your "Second Brain" .
It doesn't just pile up the data you send; it analyzes and makes sense of it.
Retrieving information at the right time is just as critical as saving it. Hippo brings that information to you within seconds when you need to remember.
When you leave the "storing" job to Hippo, your mind gains space to focus on more creative tasks.
Our Philosophy
Choosing the seahorse as our brand symbol wasn't just a scientific necessity. Technology is often perceived as cold, distant, and complex. But we aimed for Hippo to be by your side like a friendly, helpful, and effective companion.
We built a system that works by chatting on WhatsApp — from the place you're most familiar with — without needing to learn a new app.
Because an assistant's greatest job is not to add friction to your life, but to eliminate it.
Forget Forgetting
Hippo is your permanent memory in the digital world. For us, this is not just a software project; it's an effort to expand the limits of the human mind with technology.
